Football Royalty by Eden Finley
5.0
Fake Boyfriends was the first [a:Eden Finley|15036279|Eden Finley|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1520859183p2/15036279.jpg] series I read of hers and I haven't stopped since. I loved [b:Fake Out|39298105|Fake Out (Fake Boyfriend, #1)|Eden Finley|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1521219468l/39298105._SY75_.jpg|59985533] (book 1 and Max and Damon' story and the uncles of these boys) and [b:Blindsided|44528307|Blindsided (Fake Boyfriend, #4)|Eden Finley|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1552983419l/44528307._SY75_.jpg|66138533], book 3 and Talon and Miller'story, so to say that reading about their sons and meeting them again more than 20 years later isn't an absolute pleasure, it'd be a big, big lie! (Although I must say that to read Learning Curve you don't need to read the above books, they are too good not to, so if you get a chance, just do it!)
Throughout this series (Franklin U) Peyton appears as the king of the football team. Something that obviously is more seen in this book. But he not only carries the expectations of the university, his teammates and those of his famous parents and former football players, but his own. He believes that he cannot stray from his path, only focused on playing his best season and becoming the number one pick in the NFL, until he meets Levi again.
When met Levi in the previous book but we didn't really know who he wasbut he's the son of one of the richest and most elite families in Chicago. He and Pey went to the same schools, but stayed apart being just simple acquaintances, until the night of Levi's graduation/party, where an instant and unexpected attraction between them manifests. But the results for both are completely different and where for Levi it meant realizing he was gay, for Pey it meant total denial, until now.
After 4 years, Levi gathers the courage to change universities. Not only because he needs to meet Peyton again, but because of what this change in his career means to him. He believes it's the most important step in breaking free from his family and their great expectations and hard pressures.
Being with Levi means a great adjustment for Peyton, both personally and professionally, and although the relationship between them is incredible and the initial chemistry they shared as teenagers, now as adults, increases with the passing of days, he must decide if he wants to take the risk.
It was amazing to see the family dynamic both between the two brothers as well as between them and their famous parents, so much fun! As well as the support they provide to both Pey and Levi.
Now I just wish Eden would give us the Brady story!
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily I wrote a review.
