SpoilerThis was everything I wanted it to be and a whole bunch more!

I loved getting a look into Maxim as a young man and delving into one of the great legends around him that is hinted at in the trilogy.

The best thing about this for me was the budding friendship between Maxim and Isra (who I adore) and I can't wait to see that blossom.

The artwork is gorgeous and seeing the different magics in all their artistic beauty was amazing.

This woman can do no wrong in my eyes and I can't wait for Vol 2!
