idk maybe im trying to make this book into something its not but it was eerily relevant for the time we are living in; with the dangers of individualization due our rapid modernization and digitization, the rising plague of AI everywhere, radical religion, screen/drug addiction and declining mental health—IMO this story perfectly encapsulated all of that and more.

what i didnt like was how women were written and practically placeholders, and the sexual cookie cutter stuff was also a miss for me. i get passion is a driving vehicle for a story like this but the narration didn’t reflect that or just aged poorly.
