This was okay, but a little young, even for my tastes that still rest solidly in the YA region. The plot was obvious from the beginning and the oppressive government was derivative as were the "powers" gained from surviving an atomic blast. However, the bit about the bombing of civilians that occurred far in the past was interesting.
