Everything everyone says about this book is correct. The trigger warnings cannot be skipped over carelessly. The author has said some dumbass stuff about mental health that I cannot agree with. The torture a single person goes through almost feels gratuitous.
But goddamn it, did I love this book anyway. This is not a beautiful story. It is horrible. I'm angry and sad and could not stop crying for the last 100 pages. But it'll be hard to find any other book that makes me feel the way this one did.
Many people have said the same thing, so I'll join the chorus: This is my favorite book I'll never recommend to anyone.
