Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson

4.0

Neil deGrasse Tyson attempts to explain the basics of astrophysics to 'people in a hurry'. However, I felt that he addresses readers who already have some basic knowledge of the field he is talking about. Especially in the first part of the book, I often had no idea what he was talking about.

Nevertheless, his friendly and accessible narrative style continues to engage the reader, and I was often fascinated by the scientific discoveries and insights he shares.

Tyson’s ability to break down complex concepts with humor and wit is commendable, making the subject matter more approachable. That said, a 'prequel' to this book for those who are not in such a hurry, covering the foundational aspects of astrophysics, might help readers appreciate this book even more.

Overall, while Astrophysics for People in a Hurry is an enjoyable and enlightening read, it may leave some readers wishing for a bit more grounding in the basics before diving into the cosmic wonders Tyson so eloquently describes.
