A great read, beware of the trigger warnings

I was given the privilege to read this before publication. This is my first time reading this author and I enjoyed the book. I loved the mystery and suspense elements, they were very well done!

I thought I figured out who the person was at least twice but I was wrong. I DID NOT see it coming, the big reveal was soooo shocking!

There were a few things that kept taking me out of the story and it was the repeated use of a few phrases. I just couldn't get passed them. It was too much, too flowery and the repetition got old fast. Super person specific, I know lol. This is why reading is subjective.

I really enjoyed it overall, I will absolutely rec this book to others. I may not be the target audience but plenty of others will.
