Spare by Prince Harry

mysterious reflective sad slow-paced

3.5

I definitely understand where a lot of people are coming from when they say this book is boring. The way that Harry writes is very descriptive and he does mention that a lot of his memories he remembers physical features of his environment more so than other things. But then it makes reading the event very dry.

It was still interesting to read the lifestyles of royals from his perspective, especially being despair, and how that has impacted his life and growth. A lot of what he says makes sense and there were many times that I did feel bad for some of the things that he faced and other members of his family.

I’m not someone who typically cares about the royal family, this is my first time reading anything to do with the royal family and I appreciated some of the things that I learned about that I couldn’t even imagine going through.

Overall though, I just found the book a little dry and hard to digest at some points.
