No thoughts, just swoon.
I'd already absolutely devoured and loved Sam Burns' other shifter/omegaverse series, "Wolf Moon Rising", which she co-authored with W.M. Fawkes, so I was pretty confident I was going to like this one a fair bit. I ended up inhaling it in one setting, so it's safe to say that "I liked it" is an understatement. I ADORED it.
"Wolf Lost" is an absolute gem of a book, short and light-hearted, but with a surprising amount of emotional depth and some serious, if brief, angst. It was the perfect balance of romance and friendship, of laughter and lightness and heartache. It was also completely packed with such lovely and intese found-family vibes that I nearly cried. All the characters were an absolute delight. Even though this is quite a short book, just under 200 pages, I still managed to fall in love with every single member of the Kismet pack. From the two MCs (Sawyer and Dex were LOVELY and completely made for each other) to Gavin and Ash (I LOVED THEM, I can't wait to read their books). I loved the quirky, small-town vibes, the reasons behind the Kismet pack's decision to move to Kismet and to open a coffee shop without any experience whatsoever, the pack interactions, the respect and affection between them all. Everything was absurdly endearing, lovable and perfect.
