F*ck It, I'm Buying a Cabin by Jesse Regis
4.0
Do I need a cabin, too? If you read this and do not instantly feel a connection to the main character, then you must be living the good life. Sarah is tired of corporate America and the drudge of adulthood. I am Sarah and Sarah is me.
I was unaware of the humor and reality of what it means to be an adult in these times. Although I'm reading in 2024 and this was written in 2023, the sentiment is still the same because nothing has gotten better for adults. In fact, the world is getting worse so I get the need for Sarah to throw her hands up to adulthood and say FUCK IT.
However, I think Sarah has more of an advantage on me because I can't just leave everything and go buy a cabin. That's peak privilege.
Nonetheless, if you want to laugh at what it means to be an adult, then this will be a lovely cleanser to your palate.
4.5 stars, easily.
