This is a very cute story at its core, but unfortunately it didn't really work for me personally, because I just didn't have the kind of connection with the characters that I'm looking for in stories like this. 
However, that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend it. There's definitely nothing wrong with it and I'm sure there are a lot of people who would really enjoy it - I just unfortunately happened to not be one of them.
