What They Saw by M.M. Chouinard

4.0

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via Netgalley and for letting me take part in this tour. This is the sixth book in the Detective Jo Fournier series but all books can be read as standalones.
Jo is such a great character. She is an excellent detective and is extremely determined. This case has a large pool of suspects with very little information to narrow the field. Jo and her partner Bob though are no quitters.
There is a spotlight on the legal system and the injustice of it. Too many criminals go free and the rules are often bent or broken to get a conviction. Sometimes this can leads to the wrong person being convicted.
Chouinard had me on the edge of my seat racing through page after page. It was tense from start to finish and kept me guessing right to the end. I really enjoyed flicking the POV to hear from the killer as well as following Jo and Bob as they try to unravel the case.
Another excellent addition to this series I look forward to many more to come.
