There were a lot of individual elements of this book that worked for me, however taken as a whole it didn't work that well for me. While I'm a fan of lighthearted, rom com vibes, the lack of conflict and friction in this novel made me feel like the stakes were so low as to be...boring? I just wasn't invested in the main characters either individually or as a couple. Not bad, just didn't really move me and probably would have soft DNF'd if I hadn't been in a buddy read. Hoping for better in book two!
