Estlin and Owen meet one night at a bar and sparks fly. They both haven’t had the best luck and their trust level is set low. Yet the banter between them and the fact that they were both left dangling with no plans seems to set them up. So they have a very wonderful night together not knowing that she will be the new nanny for her brother’s best friend. Now when they realize this they agree that they must remain professional and have no more interludes.
Owen is the original grump except when it comes to his daughter Rory. I always love when the MMC is a wonderful, caring involved father. Now Estlin is an artist and is able to take her sunshiny ways and rainbow outlook and move Owen from the dark side. This book is very lighthearted although they have both been betrayed and are worried about being hurt this book moves along well. I’m always amazed at the medical scenes in a J. Saman book and how they give me a glimpse into a world in which I have no knowledge of. I liked the inclusion of secondary characters from previous books I have read. The spice in the book is very nice and the dirty talk had me raising my eyebrows, but I loved it. A wonderful book of two people lowering their defenses to fall in love and creating a great family unit for a his daughter.
