Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders

5.0

I find it hard to form the words to describe the beauty and pain in this remarkable book. I won't even try because my attempt will be a disgrace to Mr. Saunders prose; this might be my favorite book of all time though. If I had read a synopsis about this book before hand, I might not have thought the fleshed out story would appeal to me. Typically, I do not go for much beyond realistic fiction, much less supernatural fiction. The historical quality drew me in though, or at least my "assumed" historical quality because of the books title. PSA: READ MR. SAUNDERS WORK. Your life will be altered at his storytelling.
