I enjoyed reading this book, but the ending felt a bit unsatisfying. I don't think that's the author's fault, or at least I think she succeeded at doing what she wanted to do - create a story centered on a character who refuses to grow or take accountability for her actions, who uses people and discards them, and who is nevertheless fascinating and even a little sympathetic in the ways she has painted herself into a corner. Still, when it ended, I felt like I had read a beautiful - and cruel - nothingburger of a book.
Graphic: Adult/minor relationship
Moderate: Alcohol and Classism
Minor: Car accident
