Taylor Jenkins Reid, I was unfamiliar with your game! I breezed through this book, it felt so much shorter than almost 400 pages. In part, I think this is because of how the book is set up. I love stories that occur over a single day or night, and this book was no exception.

There was so much to enjoy about the story, particularly Nina's character development. As a fellow eldest daughter, I completely related to that desire to be the one to make sure everyone is okay. The passage at the end mentioning that she felt like she had been carrying a heavy box was so powerful to me. It really is up to you what you want to keep from your parents and what you want to let go of. You don't have to carry it with you if it isn't serving you. And it is so freeing to just let that shit go!

I am humbly asking Taylor Jenkins Reid for a sequel. I need to know what happens to the Rivas! 4.25/5 ☆
