I am officially suing leigh bardugo for emotional damage oh my goodness!!!!! in which the last 15% of this book made me scream and cry more times than I can remember 😭🫶🏼

this duology was so magical, and to everyone who told me that I would fall in love with this cast of characters .... you were absolutely correct.  there's something about a found family that gets me y'all 🥹

I cannot believe how attached I was to kaz, inej, matthias, nina, jesper and wylan!  I don't think I've ever been so emotionally into a group of characters without having a clear favorite - with these lil morally grey babies, it was seriously like choosing a favorite child

I have absolutely no idea how to properly write a review on this because I'm just a pile of sadness that it's over and I'll never be able to read it again for the first time... BUT the heists in this one were completely next level!  they gave me all of the ocean's eleven vibes with how kaz was able to anticipate every move before it happened 

and can we talk about zoya and genya and nikolai?? I screamed when they showed up in this one! which means I'm going to need the crows to show up in KING OF SCARS because I already miss them way too much

this was simply a masterpiece from start to finish - and I can't believe how wrecked I am LOL thank you for creating yet another fandom for me to obsess over until the end of time 😭🥺🫠🫡
