It was a good read. I think I was more interested in the story in the past rather than the present story line. I liked the descriptions and the setting, and I liked most of the characters. I just wasn't as invested in the present as I was in the past. The present seemed a little jumbled at points, but all around a great combination of two stories to tell one island's related past and present.
