Helen Scheuerer's cliffhangers are going to RUIN me. I thought I was in the trenches of this series after book 2, but book 3 solidified my emotional investment.
Fate & Furies is action-packed with adventures, trails, and hard conversations. Even though I gave this book & book 2 the same rating, this is a stronger installment to the series because so many events are critical to the plot.
The character development of Thea and Wilder is *chefs kiss*, and I haven't become bored with them. After feeling annoyed with their constant tug & pull in book 2, they won me back over in this book. We love a self aware queen.
I also very much appreciated the balance between spice and plot within this bookâHelen could've easily let the spice get carried away, and I'm happy that she didn't.
Onto the 4th and final book!
