A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston

4.0

3,5/5
A Novel Love Story is such a cute romance for all of us who’ve imagined stepping into the setting of our favorite book series, falling in love with the characters all over again, and perhaps finding someone the books failed to mention.

Eileen is a literature professor heading into a book club meeting alone, because no one else could come that year. On the way she gets lost and finds a town that is eerily familiar. It soon becomes clear she’s inside her favorite books, which sounds ridiculous, but Eileen accepts this quite quickly and goes on befriending the characters. One person doesn’t ring a bell, which mystifies Eileen. Who is he? And why is she so drawn to him?

Ashley Poston manages to describe avid readers so well! The feeling of finding like minded readers with whom to gush about your fave books, and the joy of getting comfy with a novel while a storm rages outside. The true love story is with Eileen and her books. The actual romance was nice, but they’re chemistry left something to be desired..
