Having read and liked Desires of a Monster, I thought this would be similar, and it iiiis, but it’s also turned up to eleven. The descriptions of heat and sex and rutting and what is happening to Gillam’s body (including heat lactation, a new one for me) got to be so much and tho I am not diametrically opposed to descriptions of birth in mpreg, I was worried if there was, it would be even more intense than the rest of the book. It kind of made me short of breath reading it. I’ll still try some of Roe Horvat’s other books, but probably won’t continue on in this new series/universe.
