Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas

4.0

We follow Ines, a new student at Catherine House with a troubling past she's trying to run away from. And Catherine House is the perfect place, since the students are cut off from the world for the 3 years they study there. But there are some strange things going on with the new materials students, and Ines is determined to figure out what they are.

I really do love an ambiguous story, and Catherine House was just that. I had no idea what was going on until the last 30 pages or so. It created an ominous atmosphere that was uncomfortable in the best way. The one issue that held this back from being a 5 star read was the ending. It was so abrupt, I was left feeling like "oh, it's over??"
