I gave this short story collection 3.5 stars ⭐️

I really think the author did a fantastic job for her debut collection. Overall the writing was polished. The stories were easy to read and I flew through them all in one sitting. The collection was creepy. I loved the spooks it delivered.

I do wish that the stories were a bit lengthier. While I loved that they were quick, I would’ve enjoyed to see each one elaborated on just a bit. I feel like expanding upon the characters a bit and adding a bit more to the spooky scenes would go a long way.

I did love how each story ended with an open ending of sorts! If done right, that can be my favorite endings in horror. I love having that ambiguity. It leaves the reader wondering and thinking about the story.

If you’re looking for a short read to knock out a reading goal, check out this book. It’s on kindle unlimited and is a perfect book to read in one sitting. Plus a few of the stories mention Christmas, making it the perfect time of the year!
