I've tried so many different times to step away from social media, doom scrolling my phone etc. and it never seemed to stick. Sure, my habits were better than they used to be.. but I still found myself wasting so much time. Resting, but never feeling resting/rejuvenated.
This book really challenges you to replace your passive consumption habits with things that cause actual fun, and bring real joy.
It's so much easier to stay off my phone when I am excited about what I'm doing instead of it.
Prior to this book every time I'd get off my phone I'd often drift to housework. Who the heck wants to fold laundry when they're bored or tired?
I've done more crafts, Christmas decorating, walks, gym trips and games with my kids than ever before!
I'm so glad I read this book. I highlighted passages to read to my husband, and even he has deleted social media off his phone and taken up the guitar and reading again.
