This was a well written and informative book that took me almost a full month to listen to because it was so horrifying.
Will you learn a lot about women's bodies and the history of how women have been treated medically? Yes. Will it be enjoyable? That depends. I tend to have anxiety around medical procedures and health issues, so this was a hard read for me. The history of women's healthcare is not a pretty one, and it does leave me a little pessimistic.
What I walked away with? Some horror stories about women being misdiagnosed or even just treated, a funny story about a man and guinea pig testicles, and a strong resolve to always advocate for myself when it comes to my body.
