god this book was EVERYTHING i cried like three times while reading... i loved yadriel as the lead character so much because of how kind he was and how strong he remained despite going through so much in the span of just a few days and the way he talked about julian made my heart melt. the writing style completely pulled me in, especially with how it tackled yadriel's struggles with his gender identity and how it tied into his culture. i loved how maritza was unflinching and unapologetic and stood by yadriel throughout the novel !! overall i really enjoyed this book and i'm so happy i finally got around to reading it <3

second read: yeah im going to CRY. AGAIN
