The Animators by Kayla Rae Whitaker

3.0

I was indifferent to this book for the first third, and then it slapped me in the face. About a chapter and a half before the end of the book, I was in love. But, with a disappointing ending and for an ineffable reason, by the end of the book I was no longer in love and knew something would prevent me from loving this book.

The questions the book raises about memory and memoir and collaborative partnership were all compelling but not enough.
