5! i really liked this!! holly black is an incredible writer, and i just loved how she made the characters. i have heard this advertised as a romantasy. i don’t disagree that there is romance, but the romance is not the main focus. i am glad i went into it having previously heard someone else explain that. i think it was all really good, and my main problem was just that i sort of wish the end was a little slower. compared to the rest of the book, the end was fast. regardless, i love jude and tbh? if im honest? i liked cardan the whole time. his character is just so intriguing, and i feel like there is still so much to learn about him! this is one of my favorite books now.
