Wow. This book has left me speechless. Beautifully written and haunting, I was immersed from the beginning. The writing is absolutely phenomenal and I cried so much for the characters. The way he portrays Afghanistan makes me want to travel there, and makes me especially sad for the violence that has (and still does) destroy the Middle East. What a phenomenal read. I will re-read it someday.
