Today Tonight Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon

This book felt like home.

I have sat on this book review for over a week now because I honestly can’t come up with the words to describe it, but I’ll give it my best shot (just please know that anything I write will most definitely not give this story or its characters the justice they deserve).

This YA book put so much of my own experiences into words. While an incredible enemies-to-lovers novel, what truly hit home for me was the Jewish representation. The recognition of growing up in a small town where you know everyone who shares a similar faith as you. The instant kinship you feel with people as soon as you find out their Jewish, but the hesitancy you also feel when you start to tell someone, afraid of how they might take it.

This book covered young love. It covered representation of minorities. It covered far-from-perfect families, antisemitism, and standing up for yourself as well as those you care about. Today, Tonight, Tomorrow by @rlynnsolomon was a book about growing up, finding oneself, but also not letting go of what you’ve loved about your childhood. It’s also about giving people a second chance and recognizing that a first impression might deserve another try.

I found myself smiling, laughing, and truly in love with the characters throughout this entire book. I couldn’t put it down. And it’s one of the few books that has made it onto my reread list to hopefully enjoy again in the future.
