Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

5.0

I love this book so much. It gave me Ella Enchanted + Wicked feels and I can't get enough. Seraphina is a reluctant heroine, but of course fate has other plans. Her uncle Orma is perfectly weird, Glissanda is a pleasant surprise, and Lucian the investigator-prince is all the things he should be. The dynamic between humans and dragons proves unique from anything else I've read, and I really enjoyed the political elements to this as well. I don't know how to best describe this book without just telling you everything, so I'll just say go read it, especially if you already love Ella and Elphaba.
