Corinne really had me feeling all the feelings during this one! 

 

Miles is an ex-marine, almost NHL player, high school principal. He gives off all the golden retriever energy in this book & does everything he can think of to win Penny over so she’ll give him a chance. I mean the man hates coffee (totally not normal btw) but still goes by the coffee shop almost every day & orders the drink she matched to him just so he can see her. 

 

Penny is a single mom with some skeletons in her closet who just wants to give her son Kai a mostly normal life, while also not getting too attached to anything in case they need to up and leave…again. 

 

This book has a little bit of everything….flirty banter, found family + real family, healing from past trauma, and mystery. I’m absolutely loving this series so far and I can’t wait to see what Corinne has planned for Everett!
