The idea was better than the execution of this, I think. Clearly a lot of research had went into it, and while it was very imaginative, I felt it was maybe slightly.. too imaginative? I had hoped for more fleshed out characters and a stronger story, but it just didn't work for me. Maybe if it had been longer and the characters had had more time to be developed? Some strange use of poop-emojis to censor swearwords (I don't know if that stays in the published version as I read an ARC) really took me out of the story. Overall just a very meh experience for me.
