Half Sick of Shadows by Laura Sebastian

if you are looking for action-packed, this is not the book for you. if you are looking for an Arthurian re-telling full of friendship, magic, and love that weaves in and out of the past, present, and future - you've come to the right place!!

At some point in the book, you will ship all of the characters with each other because they are all just so unique and interesting, living their adolescence in a magical land where there are seemingly no real rules. you'll want to live in Avalon and dread the chapters in Camelot .. because truly, who wants to live there are eat food that tastes of dirt when fey wine can make you drunk with just a sip?

i absolutely LOVED this book. i LOVED that we had tastes of the future intertwined with the past, and that we wonder, "what could possibly be done to change the future?". i LOVED Lancelot with all my heart. and Arthur. and Gwen!! and especially Morgana.

i need MORE!!

side note - but a huge annoyance for me was the inconsistency with the spelling of "fey" and more than a few errors. I saw both "fey" and "fay" and also missed quotation marks and it made me wonder if anyone actually proofread this?
