you always hear talks about reading the right book at the right time … and this time, it’s the truth 🥹

not only did I take this fabulous vacation romance with me on an actual beach vacay, but I read this approximately two months after my dad passed away. if I had read this closer to his passing, I’m not sure I could have gotten through it (so definitely keep that in mind as a trigger warning!) but it was the perfect time now ❤️

reading about january and her dad felt like a glimpse into my own life, and I wanted to give it a warm hug for providing a little bit of closure that I was seeking alongside january 

BUT ALSO january and gus were absolutely perfect for each other it had me sobbing 🥲 talk about enemies to friends to lovers it was so perfectly and humanly written I loved every second of their adventure

and books about authors themselves? uh YES PLEASE
