This book inspired me in so many small, minute ways. In the week I took to read the audiobook (highly recommend audiobooks read by the author themselves), I found myself going on a night walk around my neighborhood, leaving work 30 minutes early one particularly warm and sunny afternoon so I’d have time for playing outside with my son instead of getting home after dark, exploring a path less traveled on my morning walk to find some lovely fog over a pond, booking a cabin at a state park I’ve been wanting to visit about an hour away, and intentionally visiting the playground twice as much as we usually do in a week.
I got out. More. I lived. More. I showed up and enjoyed my life. More. This is a great book to inspire and challenge and to grow towards intentional adventure even when it seems too exhaustive to figure out.
Sorry Alistair, but I’m not quite to sleeping tentless out in nature just yet though- unless it’s my own backyard.
