These types of books fascinate me - the history, the traditions... this one in particular was intriguing, with everything you wanted to know about courtesan life but were too afraid to google. Well most everything. I felt like it was lacking a bit, a bit of drama and some people giving up rather easily, but otherwise I want to read more books like this!
