The Butlerian Jihad by Kevin J. Anderson, Brian Herbert

3.0

I know I have listened to this before. I thought it had a real dissonant note in the three groups, I didn't think the robots worked they were too logical and efficient while being murderously insane. I know they would say that the Titans added it but I didn't find it believable. Especially when they said Omnious saw humans as resources, it seemed like they wanted it both ways humans were complete unimportant to the machines but also resources not to be wasted. I don't think the authors really had a plan for what this book would be, lots of side comments on the evils of slavery but instead of the different slaves showing a counterpoint or reflection of each other. The slavery should have been the main driver was confused and distracted from the story.
