The Favorites by Layne Fargo
4.5
Okay. After seeing so much about this book on insta, I had major FOMO. So of course that meant I was ready to add it to my February BOTM box. However, I told myself to limit add ONS this year. I put it on hold on Libby and got it the day it came out!
Once I started reading it, Jan 21, I could not put it down. This book was an absolute dramatic, endearing, and sometimes frustrating book. I absolutely loved the format and enjoyed every single character for who they were and how they were used.
What stopped me from giving this 5? It got a tad repetitive at some points with the Kat & Heath relationship. I won't say anything more because it feels like a spoiler.
Shout out to Fargo, for dropping a reference to Taylor Swift's The Last Time because that is a highly underrated Swifty song!
4.5 stars-- HIGHLY recommend
