Love is real.
the real horror was queer narrative expectations under capitalism ✨
Great pacing, simultaneously campy and dark plot with a wonderful, nuanced dive into queer horror tropes, and an earned ending. The graphic violence is minimal for the genre; the horror emphasis is instead capitalist greed and how it tries to control and flatten queer storytelling, whether through AI and a Hollywood exec or trauma voyeurism and sanitized queerness.
