Know My Name by Chanel Miller

5.0

If I could give this six stars I would. This book moved me in such a tremendous way I don't know where to even begin.
Chanel's writing is so honest and riveting, and her narrative is such an important one for everyone. I teared up every few pages because she describes the pain, hurt, and heartbreak in such a vivid way I could almost physically feel them. Her writing not only talks about her deepest feelings going through her very public sexual assault case, it also maps her healing journey and gives us a glimmer of hope. Healing is not linear and immediate and neat, it's messy, and it's an ongoing process for anyone.
I hope that this book is able to reach the women that needs love and courage the most, as well men in our society.
