Some of the elements I struggled with in the first novella were overcome by the weirdness of the story. This time around, I'm 44% in and I can't tell the characters apart (the biggest problem for me in the first novella) and not much has happened. 

If the audiobook becomes available at my library, I'd listen to the second half. It just couldn't hold my interest with me as the reader.
