How Rory Thorne Destroyed the Multiverse by K. Eason

Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
So the plan was to read this prequel duology prior to picking up the second half of The Weep duology set in the same universe by K. Eason.

Because, and I cannot stress this enough, I freaking loved Nightwatch on the Hinterlands. Like it’s one of my favourite reads this year and is in contention for the top spot.

But The Weep is also completely different in style from The Thorne Chronicles and with it also being young adult, I just don’t feel like forcing myself to finish this. It’s so heavily focused on political manoeuvring and politicking but the characters involved are not compelling in the context they’re being used.

At least not for me.

But the good news is, as a mood reader, I have absolutely no qualms about being a completionist and finishing a set books just because they’re set in the same universe as one that I absolutely adore.

So this is no skin off my back, and I’m fine with declaring that this is just not for me and moving on.
