This book is marvellous; I had the most hectic couple of exam weeks and still finished the whole thing in one week. It kept me up hours into the night and I couldn’t put it down. I dare say Anne Brontë is the world’s forsaken genius; perhaps her brilliance is something feeble humans cannot fully contend with. She sends shock waves to your heart before melting it before your very eyes. I think it is very much in leagues with Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, and I recommend it from the bottom of my heart.
