Grumpy Preston Hott is the third Hott brother who must carry out the wishes of his grandfather’s will to save the family resort/wedding venue. His task is to be in charge of fun. He needs to come up with an all-ages activity program or be the one to cause his family to lose their land. Natalie Archer has just been hired at the resort to develop the program, and now the two must work together to come up with a plan. She is all fun, dancing on the table, whereas Preston is spreadsheets and cufflinks. Total opposites, these two butt heads and cannot seem to get along. Natalie pushes Preston out of his comfort zone, and he starts to see the queen of fun they are spending more time together and suddenly, the things they hated about each other seem insignificant, and both are lusting after each other. They begin to wonder if being such opposites could lead to a happily ever after.
Natalie was such a free spirit that she got Preston to break out of his shell and enjoy himself. They both learn they don’t have to prove their worth to anyone and that people should accept them for who they are. There are many times that these two opposites create hilarious situations, making me laugh out loud. Whether they were jello wrestling, Natalie dancing on a desk, or Preston finding his inner child, these two were excellently matched, even if they didn’t know it yet. Once you get past the tension and bickering, these two respect and care for each other.
I love Serena’s world-building. She creates a fun world where we can catch up with characters from previous books while being able to jump into her writing this book and still enjoy ourselves. I loved seeing what the Hott and Wilder siblings were up to and enjoyed all the fun they had with planning the different activities.
This book is a great story about finding where you belong and your value while containing a happy love story between two opposites. If you like a grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract, workplace romance, this book is for you!
Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.
