everyone wants to be nabokov or dostoyevsky so bad but this book just doesn’t have the finesse to do so. anonymous is just straight up pathetic and self aggrandizing but not even in an interesting seductive insidious way just very blatant and very boring. so dramatic, to what end. this isn’t an interesting character study at all.
