"Fuck, that stubborn, feisty look always makes me want to kiss you."

THIS BOOK IS GOD'S GIFT TO READERS. THIS BOOK IS BETTER THAN ANY FRUIT THAT YOU CAN FIND IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN. YOU SIMPLY CANNOT DENY HOW PERFECT THIS BOOK IS.

I was hesitant to start this book because the last big fantasy books I read were ACOTAR in 2021, and those nearly sent me into a slump because of how amazing they were. BUT PICKING THIS BAD BITCH UP WAS THE BEST DECISION I'VE MADE IN A MINUTE.

Unlike most fantasy books, this book started with a BANG. It took me absolutely NO time to get hooked. I'm pretty sure these pages are laced with crack somehow to be honest, because I could NOT put it down. You couldn't pry this book out of my cold, dead hands even if you tried. *makes note that I want to be buried with this book*

I love how this book built the world and gave you the history AS you read it, instead of doing all of that in the first 100-200 pages like most fantasy books. This reminded me of something I'd read when I was younger, but make it more mature to match my adult tastes. Like take How To Train Your Dragon, Divergent, and The Hunger Games? Make it more mature and add some sizzling romance with smexy scenes? And that's this book.

I loved literally everything about this book. When you think of like, "hey, I just want to really read a good enemies to lovers book" THIS is the book you pick up to satisfy that hunger.

THE SEXY ASS TENSION? THE BANTER? THE DRAGONS? THE STRONG AS FUCK FMC THAT I WAS ROOTING FOR THIS ENTIRE BOOK? Literally. Chef's. Kiss.

AND MY FUCKING STARS. Don't even get me STARTED on Daddy Xaden. I will worship the ground he walks on. This man. THIS MAN IS EVERYTHING WE NEED AND MORE. This man had me giggling and swinging my feet through the entire freaking book. If there's a heaven, I just hope to god that Xaden is the one greeting me at the gates.

Rebecca... I hope both sides of your pillow remain cold for the rest of your life because MY GOD you have done us readers such a service by providing such a divine book. I was expecting a little snack, but you really decided to serve us a 5-course meal with this masterpiece. (I wouldn't be opposed to getting this book from Xaden's POV
