I wasn't fully expecting how good this book was going to be! I had seen buzz about the steamy scenes being good (whoa mama, yes), but I hadn't seen anyone talking about the other amazing pieces if this book. The main character Perdie is kinda a bitch and I love her for it. There is a great found family aspect with her best friend and their shared dog. And the male lead, Carter, is super yummy and not a typical lead you'd find in a story like this. He was a sweetie who isn't afraid to feel emotions or make you cum four times in a row. But my favorite part happens in the end of the book and the work Perdie puts into herself. She sees her own shortcomings and steps up to help herself out. Seriously *chef's kiss*.
Minor: Animal death
Emotionally absent parent, inability to connect, goes to therapy (on page), death of pet
