Burial Rites by Hannah Kent

3.0

This is a hard one for me to rate.

I didn't hate it but it wasn't my favorite. For some reason, I had trouble staying interested in the story.

Agnes's trauma could be felt through the narration for me and that is fantastic.

Spoiler When the truth comes out with how the murders occurred, I had thought that justice would swoop in and stop the execution. When it didn't, I was disappointed and then remembered that this was based on a true story and was further disappointed.
